President Stephen Kerman of the Federal Republic of Laklar on Wednesday pushed out a declaration for his fragile nation. The declaration contains information regarding the aggression and abuses of their northern neighbor, the Syracusan National Republic.
The Lakaran president begins his address affirming his power over his nation's independence, stating "Laklar was established upon the principles of freedom, representation, and the protection of our national interests, and we will not accept subordination." To the surprise of many, Laklar has decided to break the silence regarding their control over their territories as it was once thought that they were a Syracusan satellite.
Stephen Kerman's Declaration can be found below.
DECLARATION FOR LAKLAR'S SOVEREIGN RIGHT
"As the duly recognized leader of the Republic of Laklar, I reaffirm our nation’s sovereign right to self-governance and independent policy-making. Laklar was established upon principles of freedom, representation, and the protection of our national interests, and we will not accept subordination to Syracusan authority or the imposition of Syracusan policy upon our people. While we remain open to diplomacy, cooperation, and mutually beneficial dialogue, such engagement must be conducted on equal footing and with full respect for our sovereignty. Any attempt to undermine our independence, interfere in our internal affairs, or breach our territorial or political integrity will be regarded as a direct challenge to our nation. Should such a breach occur, we will call upon our allies to uphold our mutual commitments and ensure that the Republic of Laklar remains secure, autonomous, and ungoverned by external control."

Stephen Kerman's main message regarding his declaration is very clear - he does not want any subordination from a government he deems oppressive, even claiming that he will call on his "allies" if anything were to happen to him or his government, invoking a sense of panic due to the fact that a crisis may emerge if Syracuse is willing to take action regarding this separation.
